DOI resolution issue fixed

The DOI resolution problem seems to be fixed as of 2012-02-15 23:38 UTC.

All servers are in sync and therefore all DOIs are reliable resolvable again. This is especially true for the DOI registered since February 2nd, which have been affected by this issue. There have been no data loss!

We apologize for any inconvenience.

DOI resolution issue

Currently some DataCite DOIs do not correctly resolve. This applies to almost all DOIs minted since 2012-02-02. So roughly 1000 DOIs or 0.08% of all DataCite DOIs are affected.

As far as we know this only affects DOI resolution but not registration. There will be no need to register those DOI again.

Engineers are currently working on the problem.

We are delighted to announce that the application was approved and welcome CRUI as DataCite's 16th full member.
