The British Library

The British Library is the national library of the United Kingdom and a founding member of DataCite. We provide access to wide range of information across all disciplines, and in recent years, we have been moving to enhance this by helping people to find, access, and reuse datasets that are core to their research.
As DataCite’s only member in the United Kingdom, we are working with UK data centres to ensure that data generated by our researchers is findable and citable so that its impact on the global research landscape is recognised.
In 2012, we are moving DataCite in the UK to a full service, establishing formal contracts with our initial testing partners to ensure the stability and persistence of their dataset DOIs. If you are a UK data centre who would like to find out more about DataCite, please contact us directly.
